Pontchatoula Strawberry Salsa
Ingredients
- 2 cups chopped fresh strawberries (preferably Ponchatoula or Louisiana strawberries)
- 1 large jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
- 1/3 cup finely chopped red onions
- 1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- Zest of one lime
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon coarse black pepper
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve with tortilla chips or as a garnish for grilled seafood. Makes about 2 1/2 cups.
